NFL POWER RANKINGS

NFL Power Rankings

1. New England
Breathe easy, Patriots fans, bettors, and bandwagoner bouncers - Tom Brady says he's OK to start Week 1.

2. Indianapolis
As long as the o-line can keep Peyton relatively clean, the Colts are going to put a ton of points on the board, while Reggie Wayne could easily lead the league in receiving.

3. Jacksonville
Jags had me with this crazy run game and a tough defense. They'll give Indy a run for the division title.

4. Dallas
Yeah, OK, Dallas is good. Are they tough enough, though? THE ANSWER IS YES...lol

5. Pittsburgh
Really like what Pittsburgh has going on this year, but a nasty schedule could do the Steelers in - not many cupcakes after late-October.

6. San Diego
Lots of San Diego Super buzz around. LT can carry them to a bunch of wins, but I'm not sold on the hype - yet.

7. N.Y. Giants
I guess the SB champs can't really check in any worse this until they show otherwise.

8. New Orleans
All the pieces look like they're in place. If the new additions mesh well with the defense, New Orleans is going to be really tough.

9. Washington
The Redskins look pretty good nearly every year on paper. This year they should be really good on the field, too.

10. Philadelphia
When's Brian Westbrook going to get his pub for MVP? Check out last year's numbers: 1,333 yards rushing with 7 TDs and 771 yards receiving with 5 more TDs.

11. Green Bay
Let's not make too much more of the Brett Favre saga. Pretty sure Aaron Rodgers can handle things.

12. Seattle
Always liked Julius Jones until he found himself buried behind Marion Barber.

13. Minnesota
Curious to see how this comes together for the Vikes. Everyting - except the QB - looks good on paper.

14. Buffalo
Maybe it's just me but "Bills" and "playoffs" still sounds funny in the same sentence.

15. Cleveland
You fantasy guys are sweating on Derek Anderson. Is he the real deal? I dunno.

16. Houston
Protect Matt Schaub and this team's a playoff contender. Well, as long as Andre Johnson stays healthy anyway.

17. Tennessee
I never know what to make of the Titans. They could make the playoffs or win six games.

18. Tampa Bay
He might not look like much, but Jeff Garcia gets it done.

19. St. Louis
You can't bet the over blindly in Rams games anymore after they played under nine times last year.

20. N.Y. Jets
Thomas Jones will hit paydirt a bunch this year.

21. Arizona
Kurt Warner's the right choice for now and could really put some numbers up if the o-line can keep the old fella alive back there

22. Chicago
The first couple of weeks are going to be huge to Chicago's season.

23. Carolina
Word out of camp is that Jake Delhomme looks great after Tommy John surgery in the offseason.

24. Denver
Selvin Young is the running back of choice these days in Denver. He'll need to come up huge for Jay Cutler and this offense.

25. Detroit
Ah... no guarantees from Mr. Kitna this year. Wise move, sir.

26. Cincinnati
Nice to see not much has changed with these circus clowns.

27. San Francisco
A Mike Martz offense with J.T. O'Sullivan taking the snaps? Ick.

28. Kansas City
If LJ bounces back with a huge season I guess the Chiefs could win a few games. Still not holding my breath.

29. Oakland
From the outside it looks like the Raiders are heading in the right direction thanks to a couple high-end draft picks. Now we just have to wait to see how they'll screw it all up.

30. Miami
As bad as Miami may be, I like what the Tuna has done so far. Pennington is a good fit for the offense.

31. Baltimore
Baltimore named rookie Joe Flacco starting quarterback. Good luck and godspeed, young man.

32. Atlanta
Have some pity for poor Michael Turner. He spends years backing up LT and then finally gets his starting gig with these bunch of yahoos.
