Patriots' date with history puts Giants in tough spot

Espn- Bill Belichick's quest for perfection hasn't been perfect.
It started in Week 1, when Jets head coach Eric Mangini caught a Patriots cameraman trying to tape Jets signals from the sidelines. The Patriots lost a first-round choice, Belichick was fined $500,000 and the Patriots were fined $250,000.
Injuries have been a problem. Linebacker Rosevelt Colvin (foot) was lost for the season, which led to more demands on an old linebacking corps. Safety Eugene Wilson (ankle) missed most of the first half of the season. Defensive end Richard Seymour isn't as dominating because of knee troubles that carried into the season. Tight end Benjamin Watson has had ankle problems.
That said, on Saturday night, Belichick and the Patriots could finish off the greatest ride any NFL team has ever experienced. The Patriots can go 16-0 if they beat the Giants, and no asterisk will go by this accomplishment.
